I am a Life Coach, speaker and trainer with over 14 years experience in the healthcare field. My passion for patient and client advocacy started in New Hampshire at Saco River Medical Group and Exeter Hospital where I designed and implemented the patient educational program for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Patients were hungry to become "unstuck" and create a different life for themselves that extended well beyond their healthcare. Their stories, struggles and dreams inspired me to shift my own path to become a Life Coach in 2007. Now, I am most interested in bridging the gap between the present self and the future self.

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as: "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today's uncertain and complex environment. Coaches honor the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

  • Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
  • Encourage client self-discovery
  • Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
  • Hold the client responsible and accountable"

Note that coaching is NOT therapy and is not intended to replace therapy. It can be, however, an adjunct to counseling if the client is ready to move forward in their life.

I work with clients to find their arch. An arch has a beginning, an end and a "curved symmetrical structure spanning an opening that supports" your life. Who are you now? What are your values? What are your passions and life purpose? Where are your blind spots? Where do you feel stuck? Are you in control of your life or do you feel like your circumstances are in control of you? What are your dreams? How do you want to show up in this world? Do you have goals or a vision? What lenses are you using to view the world?
